Pearl&green sapphire necklace

Wonderful akoya pearls are paired with vintage green sapphire beads for a very unique & versatile necklace. Yi collected these faceted sapphire beads from an old sapphire dealer in Sri Lanka during her first trip to the wonderful island. These hand faceted beads are extremely hard do make because of the drilling of the holes the dealer explained. Most sapphires do not survive the drilling process so it is quite special to have so many beads in one necklace. 

Green sapphires are probably not as well known as their blue counter part. This special shade of green appears in no other colored gemstones. It’s a deep minty green that can only be in the sapphire family. 

We hope you love this feminine and cool combination of mother nature’s wonders in this necklace. We’ve finished it off with our signature fish eye closure so that you may even hand pendants on it if you wished. If you look closer to the details, you will notice that even the loops on this wonderful piece has been hand-twisted. It is entirely handmade and spectacular.
